Each day begins with sun-shine. It is the energy from Sun which is channelized in our body and provides us vitality and potential to work. Need of food for our body is known to every-body & we get food through sun-light, because carbohydrates are synthesised by plants through the process of photosynthesis which is photochemical reaction. The chemical as well as physical changes brought about by sun-light as well as artificial UV-visible light are studied through a branch of chemistry known as Photochemistry. Taking into account importance of photochemistry in our life as well as the fact that it is included in the syllabus of PG classes this book Modern Photochemistry is being written.
