Mathematical, Statistical and Computational Methods play a vital role in the progress of Science and Technology. The challenges of Science and Technology can be achieved through the Mathematical, Statistical and Computational Methods. Although a large number of persons are working in this field in institutes. Research Organizations, Industries and at personal level. There is a lack of communication between the need, work carried on and achievement. The objective of the seminar was to bring together academicians, scientists, engineers and technologists working in various organizations with a view to amalgamate the ideas in many a mind and to sharpen the techniques and tools used to meet the challenges. The prospect of a growing applicability of Applied Mathematics/ Statistics/Optimization/Computational techniques to various disciplines of Science and Technology was highlighted in the seminar to give a fillip to academicians, scientists and engineers working at different institutions/lndustries/Research Laboratories to work in a joint venture.
