The book 'INTRODUCTORY STATISTICAL MECHANICS' is written to cater to the needs of undergraduate physics students, aligning with the structure and objectives of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020. This manuscript has been developed from the lecture notes I prepared for teaching this subject to undergraduate students in the last 2 decades. The contents are suitable as a text book for the syllabus of Statistical Mechanics being offered in various Indian Universities at the undergraduate level.
