The readers may be aware of the author’s earlier book BIOCHEMISTRY, which has been well received and widely accepted running into second edition. However, this book was found to be rather too advanced and exhaustive for undergraduate students, so that there was a need for another book, an abridged edition on biochemistry covering the course contents of undergraduate syllabi of different universities. The suggestions received in this connection from students and teachers prompted the author to prepare this book with a title, “CONCEPTS OF BIOCHEMISTRY”.
