This book has been written to meet the requirements of syllabi of Physics in the courses of B. Tech./B.E. of the technical universities of all states, national and regional engineering colleges, all the deemed to be universities, all the self-financed universities and almost all the IIT's of the country. In each chapter of this book the subject matter has been discussed conceptually and methodically in a systematic manner, keeping in view the actual difficulties of engineering students in learning physical concepts and theories. In view of the fact that physics is the most fundamental science with very wide applications in all the branches of engineering and technology, the essential topics of Physics, with direct applications, have been included within fifteen chapters of this book. According to courses of Physics in two semesters of U.P. Technical University and some other state technical universities and in three (or four) semesters of IIT's and national and regional engineering colleges, the entire book has been divided into three volumes, where the first and second volume essentially cover the entire syllabi of first and second semester, respectively, of U.P. Technical University and other state technical universities and the third volume covers the remaining syllabi of IIT's and national and regional engineering colleges.
