The novel was written by Victor Hugo. The novel was published in 1862 in France. The story is told about Jean Valjean, who was released from jail, and through the kindness of Father Marvel, became a new man. He got a new name via association with Myriad and his clear kindness and generosity to others, and he gradually built a prosperous life for himself with a renovation of the jet-work industry in Montreuil Sur Mer. One of his employees was, although unknown to him, fired by the headmistress because of an illegitimate baby.
