The National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 has brought several reforms in Indian education which includes multidisciplinary Undergraduate Education with a broad base of learning and skills to meet the needs of 21st century. It is to bring equity, efficiency and academic excellence in National Higher Education System. The introduction of paradigm shift in learning & teaching pedagogy and evaluation process produces a need of innovation and improvement in course-curricula. The University Grants Commission (UGC) has asked all the universities in the country to implement the multidisciplinary and holistic approach in education across all the disciplines and programmes. To serve the purpose UGC issued the Regulations of “Governing the Choice Based Credit System Semester Scheme with Multiple Entry and Exit Options in the Undergraduate and Postgraduate Degree Programmes in the Faculties of Arts, Science and Commerce”.
